Add a Rate Class

  1. Select Project Data > Rates in the Navigation Menu. The Manage Rates tab window displays.
  2. Click on the Structure [Select] dropdown in the Ribbon Menu.
  3. Select the rate structure you want from the list.
  4. Select the Rate Groups tab. The top left pane displays the list of Rate Groups. The top right pane displays the list of Rate Classes. The bottom right pane displays the list of effective dates and Rates for the selected Rate Group row and selected Rate Class row.
  5. In the top right pane, click Add Rate Class. An Add Rate Class dialog box displays.
  6. Enter a Name and Description for the new rate class.
  7. Select or enter a Rate Factor number.

    Tip:

    To create a copy of the default rate class set of rates without any changes, set the Rate Factor to 1.

  8. Click OK. The new rate class is added to the list of Rate Classes.
  9. Optional. When applicable, check the Default box to change which rate class is the default. There can only be one default rate class.
  10. Click Save in the Ribbon Menu.
  11. Optional. Import the rates for the rate class you just added. See Import a Rate Structure.
  12. Optional. Close the Manage Rates tab.
